The first step is deciding if you want a half or whole hog. This can vary greatly depending on the size of your family. See our FAQ page for a rough guideline, but you may want to error on the side of more! The only complaint we receive routinely is our clients didn't order enough.
The next step is to fill out our Pork Order Form (download at bottom of page) and submit with a $75 deposit to reserve. Balance is due within 14 days of slaughter date.
- Whole Hog $4.00/lb (approximately 180-220 lb)
- Half Hog $4.25/lb (approximately 90-110 lb)
Final price and approximate weight based on the hanging weight of the animal after slaughter.
Slaughter fee will be included in final price owed to Free Range Farms.
Butcher fee will be due butcher upon pick up.
Our amazing butcher, Mountain Stream Meats, will contact you 3 - 5 days after slaughter for cutting instructions. You will be asked questions that include serving sizes for packages, how many roasts, the types of sausage and a few more to customize your order to best fit for your families needs.
Please allow 4 weeks for processing before meat is ready for pick up. Buyer is responsible for pick up from butcher, payment for processing due directly to Mountain Stream Meats at time of pick up - they will call you when it's ready.
